Everything I Learned About Writing

Writing is telling the truth as I understand it;
to risk being not liked.
Writing is creating a world in which one can enter--
a world where you can see me.
See my world.
Step into my shoes and be me.
Writing comes from within;
my thoughts are translated from
body to pen to paper.
It keeps me balanced--
and allows me to relieve my mind of unwanted dread.
Writing is my private way of speaking.
Writing is my heart and soul.
Writing is me.

I don't think you've written anything this year that "risks you being not liked." This struck me as interesting. I guess I wouldn't have guessed that you needed writing for this purpose, but I love the fact that we now know a new side of you.

I love this little piece about you and your writing. I love how you use the word "me" so often to make it clear that your writing is representative of your different elements. I don't feel like I've had to not like you because of your writing this year, but maybe that is a smaller element (risk) that is added into your writing that doesn't come across so clearly because of your personality. :)

I love this. It's so you. You want to show everyone a little piece of yourself in everything that you write. And you do. I like how this talks so much about you -- that's what I think of writing as: a slightly selfish way of making everything about me. :]

I love the personal connection that you had with this piece. It is risky to say me so much in a writing like that because then it might not be as relatable, but you really pulled it off! By saying me and my you actually made it more relatable because it made me feel like while i was reading it, i was writing something about myself. We can all fit our own names into the me that you speak of. This was so great!! <3

This is awesome! I love the Anne Lamont reference( is that how u spell her name?) Its very revealing about what writing means to you and why its important to your life. Your writing tells alot about you!
